With a goal to get the construction portion done by Friday, we poured the last two slabs and gave the building a first coat of stucco. Because the weather is so cold we have to drape the building and heat it from the inside so the stucco can cure properly.
The rebar is all in place and the inspector was kind enough to come and approve it. The concrete pour will be Monday after the concrete company opens back up. On Friday we will finish the forms and get the generator pad formed up.
The roof forming is finally enclosed with three scaffold towers inside for support. The tie beam is being fabricated and by tomorrow the top should be ready for inspection.
Although the pour went into the darkness and we finished by headlights, we were able to come back Saturday morning and finish the tops while they were still green.
The plywood forms are taking shape quickly and the first two are placed, leveled and we are starting the steel. It won't be all ready until late tomorrow but by Friday we should be ready to pour concrete.
After evaluating subcontractors, the excavation crew arrived to start scraping away where the surveyors had marked. Monday the excavation work should be ready for inspection.
